SCHOOL REOPENING

Siddhartha High School has come a long way in promoting quality education to the children of Ladakh. Since its inception in 1995, the school has achieved a lot. Two batches of high school students have passed out from our school with very good marks and now they are continuing their studies in other parts of India.

The new session for the year 2010- 2011 started in November last. Shortly after that the school closed for the long winter vacation. This winter had one of the heavest snowfall in years. Many felt like a real winter this time as ladakh was fully covered with white snow for the whole winter and it was extremely very cold.

All the students were given winter homework and assignments for the winter vacation. Many students spent their time at home with the family, many of them went for special coaching or winter activities like ice-skating etc.

Finally on March 1, after a long three months winter vacation Siddhartha High School reopened to a new beginning.  Everybody both the teachers and students were very happy to see each other again. The new academic year started with a lot of interesting programs at the school.
